In many places, female genital mutilation is part of the initiation from girl to woman. To raise awareness, we paired vulva cakes — a joyful social media trend — with the painful reality of FGM in headlines and copy. Launched on May 7th, International Day of Genital Empowerment. My role: concept and art direction.
